How to Upload an Updated Planner
If you exported a planner spreadsheet, made edits in Excel, and want those edits back in PriceSync, you can re-import the same file. Here's how.
When to do this
- You exported a Planner to Excel for offline review
- You edited prices, margins, decided sells, or notes in the spreadsheet
- You want those edits to update the live planner
What gets imported
Re-importing matches rows by Brand + Model #. For each matched row, the following fields are updated from the spreadsheet:
- Decided Sell
- Target Sell
- Notes
- Manual price overrides you typed into the export
Other fields (cost data, BuyIn windows, Future Std Cost, etc.) are not touched by the re-import — they continue to come from their original sources.
Steps
- Open the Planner
- Click Uploads in the toolbar
- Select your edited Excel file
- Review the preview screen — confirms how many rows will update
- Click Apply to write changes back to the planner
Things to know
- The original planner is preserved as a snapshot before the re-import. If anything goes wrong, you can roll back via the Snapshots page.
- Rows that don't match a current planner item (e.g., you typed in a new model that doesn't exist on the planner) are skipped, not added.
- Don't change Brand or Model # in the spreadsheet — those are the matching keys. If you do, that row won't import.
